Always love to try something new!
I love fashion whether it is the latest trends on the runway or the latest styles shreddin' down the mountain to everything inbetween. I have recently moved back to Vail after two years in NYC, and as much as I love the fearless fashions of the streets, you can't beat the creative ensembles you see in a mountain town. I will share with you here, favorite styles of mine from both worlds, and many local fashionable faces and places in the Vail Valley. Enjoy!

Always love to try something new!
A new trend that I completely support, is the movement of color and print…to the pants! Why let the shirts and dresses have all the fun and focus!? But, as a local girl in Vail, living on a budget is always something that sets us apart from our oh so lucky, financially oblivious, how shall I say….tourists! Affordable fashions are not as easy to come by in the mountains. So how can you join the pants party up here without burning a hole in the pocket of those new party pants?? I have two great shopping spots for you to explore!
I recently bought the perfect pair of red pants at Roxy in Vail Village. This little hot spot, not to be confused with the Quicksliver counterpart, has a wonderful variety of brands, styles and prices. I can always count on them to have just the fun piece I’m looking for! Another easy store to get your legs into this fun trend, is Pac Sun at The Outlets in Silverthorne, CO. I have had my eye on a pink pair of pants from there that will be the perfect for the summer!!
I have cut out all of the work so you can go play in some colorful new pants! You should be out of reasons not to join the party! See you there!

Do you really write “pink shirt” or “blue button-up” on your shopping list? Not often!! So why would you organize your closet by color and why do retail stores organize this way!? It looks messy and it is hard to find anything, unless your mind is organized by color (in which case, go with it!). When your closet is messy and unorganized, it makes picking out an outfit for the day more challenging than it needs to be. You end up grabbing the same old boring number rather than being inspired to try something new. I do not enjoy shopping by color, so why would I organize by color?
Try organizing by style or function instead. For example, all long sleeve shirts together, all dresses together, all pants together, and so on. If that doesn’t appeal to you, try arranging by function, i.e. hiking clothes, dressy clothes, work clothes, exercise clothes, etc.
Whichever manner of closet organization you choose, find a way that works for you. This will help streamline your fashion thoughts and make your daily style choices more fun and easy! Let that inner fashionista or fashionMista out of the closet!

The US Women’s soccer team is taking the world by storm. It’s about darn TIME!! We could all learn a little something from them. Their heart, positive attitude and relentless work ethic are such an inspiration. It is amazing what you can do when you work together. Be inspired every day. USA.
